LIG Nex1 Pays Tribute at Busan UN Memorial Park Cemetery on the 70th Anniversary of the Armistice

Chairman Koo Bon-sang of LIG and executives of LIG Nex1 paid tribute by laying flowers and paying respects at the UN Memorial Cemetery for Fallen Soldiers located in Nam-gu, Busan, on the 8th in observance of the Month of Patriots and Veterans.


Chairman Koo and over 40 employees participating in the International Maritime Defense Industry Exhibition (MADEX) held at BEXCO in Busan took time to honor the sacrifices of UN soldiers who lost their lives during the Korean War.


The UN Memorial Cemetery is the only UN military cemetery in the world, where the remains of approximately 2,300 soldiers from 11 countries rest.

Chairman Koo Bon-sang of LIG and all LIG Nex1 employees wrote in the guestbook, “Remember Heroes, we will never forget the sacrifices of the UN veterans who dedicated themselves to the freedom of the Republic of Korea.”


They also pledged to do their best as professionals in the defense industry to protect the peace and prosperity of the Republic of Korea, which was safeguarded through the sacrifices of the UN veterans.


In celebration of the Month of Patriots and Veterans in June, LIG Nex1 is carrying out various activities to reflect on the significance of honoring patriots and veterans, including cemetery cleanup activities at the National Cemetery and Patriots Cemetery, sponsoring the ‘Nation Love Land Traverse’ organized by the Korea Veterans Association, installing banners for the Month of Patriots and Veterans at workplaces, and promoting awareness internally and externally through YouTube and company newsletters.
