Mayor Park stated, "May is both Family Month and a time to accelerate work," adding, "While being devoted to family, administrative efforts must focus on securing budgets and national funds to ensure smooth project execution for a greater Mokpo that attracts youth."

He continued, "The Mokpo Maritime W Show was successfully held, but lighting facilities should be improved so that performers can be seen from afar. With the Bukhang Sunset Drone Light Show scheduled for the 5th and 6th, which is expected to attract many tourists, thorough preparations must be made to eliminate any risks."

He also said, "The integration with Sinan, which is underway for a greater Mokpo, is progressing well with growing consensus among residents. The partnership with Sinan County should be further systematized," and ordered, "In preparation for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late former President Kim Dae-jung, the first Korean Nobel Peace Prize laureate, in January 2024, all related events must proceed smoothly with full preparation."

Furthermore, he noted the importance of securing accommodations in preparation for the National Sports Festival to be held in October and November, and requested thorough coordination with lodging facilities, safety inspections of bridge structures, and meticulous preparation for the 382nd Extraordinary Session of the Mokpo City Council, which will be held for seven days starting from the 9th.

Lastly, Mayor Park urged, "In celebration of Family Month in May, we must create an organizational culture where work and family coexist," while also strongly prohibiting drunk driving, one of the major threats to the safety of our society.
