Gyeongnam Nonghyup: "Hope This Becomes an Opportunity for the Joint Composting Facility to Develop"

‘Joint Compost Manufacturing Facility Operation Gyeongnam Council Regular General Meeting’ Held

On the 2nd, Gyeongnam Nonghyup held the 'Gyeongnam Joint Compost Manufacturing Plant Operation Council Regular General Meeting' at the Gyeongnam Nonghyup Delegates' Meeting Room, attended by eight heads of cooperatives operating the Gyeongnam Joint Compost Manufacturing Plant.


At the meeting, agenda items such as the 2022 business settlement report, 2023 business plan, and election of executives were approved.


Gang Seon-wook, head of Hamyang Nonghyup, was elected as the council chairman; Lee Hee-gyun, head of Gonmyeong Nonghyup, as vice chairman; and Park Jong-ho, head of Hamyang Sancheong Livestock Cooperative, as auditor.

In addition, in-depth discussions and information sharing were conducted to supply high-quality compost in 2023.


Council Chairman Gang Seon-wook said, “The difficulties in operating compost manufacturing plants are increasing, such as the mandatory installation of ammonia reduction facilities,” adding, “We will unite efforts to reduce production costs and increase income for farmers by practicing natural circulation agriculture through the production and supply of high-quality compost and establishing a sustainable foundation for agriculture and livestock farming.”


Director Kim Ju-yang stated, “I hope this council will serve as an opportunity for the Gyeongnam joint compost manufacturing plants to develop further through diverse information exchange among Nonghyup branches,” and added, “Through the operation of joint compost manufacturing plants, Nonghyup should actively address environmental pollution issues in the province and produce high-quality compost to supply to farms at competitive prices.”
