Through this agreement, support projects for merit recipients and veterans' families who have devoted themselves to the nation can accelerate.
First, the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry will promote the 'Happy Companion 2023 Donation Relay Campaign' with veterans' families.
This campaign involves the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea accepting applications from companies participating in the donation relay throughout May, collecting donations, and delivering all the collected funds to veterans' families through the Gyeongnam Eastern Veterans Affairs Office during June's Month of Patriots and Veterans.
The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered 11 million won to the Gyeongnam Eastern Veterans Affairs Office on the day of the agreement signing as the first participant in the relay campaign.
Gu Ja-cheon, chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "The noble spirit of sacrifice of the patriots who devoted themselves to the country must be remembered forever," adding, "For companies to fulfill social responsibility beyond economic activities is to enhance the value of the company accordingly, and we must continuously pay attention and make efforts to raise that value."
