On the morning of the 2nd, the Ministry of Health and Welfare held the 3rd Emergency Situation Inspection Meeting chaired by Park Min-su, the 2nd Vice Minister of Health and Welfare and head of the Emergency Situation Inspection Team, to review the situation regarding the leave strike and partial medical institution closures by the Health and Welfare Medical Solidarity opposing the enactment of the Nursing Act and to discuss response measures.

At the meeting, they checked the current status of medical institution treatments and the operation plan for emergency medical institutions to prepare for crisis situations, ensuring that no medical service gaps occur due to the planned leave strike and partial medical institution closures on the 3rd.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare stated that it will strive to ensure uninterrupted patient care through establishing a flawless emergency patient response system and smooth operation of local medical centers, public health centers, and health sub-centers.
Vice Minister Park strongly requested healthcare professionals to refrain from closing their services, saying, "We ask all healthcare workers to protect the medical field for the health and safety of the public." He also emphasized, "Local governments should thoroughly manage medical institutions within their jurisdiction to minimize treatment gaps or harm to the public caused by closures, and medical institutions at the hospital and clinic level in the region should cooperate to ensure that general patient care and emergency room operations are not disrupted."
