Home&Shopping Collaborates with Seoul Business Agency to Discover Startups

Home&Shopping announced on the 2nd that it will discover promising startups together with Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu and Changdong, operated by the Seoul Business Agency (formerly Seoul Industrial Promotion Agency). They are promoting an open innovation program for mutual growth with promising startups by partnering with the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Startup Support Center Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu and the Innovative Technology Startup Support Center Seoul Startup Hub Changdong.

Through this program, promising companies in the relevant fields will be discovered and provided with collaboration opportunities with Home&Shopping as well as benefits from the Seoul Startup Hub growth support program. For the final selected companies, they plan to provide 10 million KRW in commercialization support funds per company, opportunities to use office space and facilities (Changdong Studio), and chances to participate in demo days for attracting investment funds.

Opportunities such as TV home shopping broadcast sales support, participation in large overseas exhibitions, entry into overseas offline stores, and export support will also be provided, along with the chance to move into startup incubation spaces located in Magok-dong, Seoul. A Home&Shopping official said, "Through cooperation with the Seoul Business Agency, we will discover excellent startups in the ESG and tech sectors and become a model for building a virtuous cycle open innovation ecosystem that grows together."
