Samsung Electronics is conducting the 'Month of Sharing' campaign for one month starting from May 2nd, in celebration of Family Month, with the participation of its employees. Through this campaign, Samsung Electronics employees will support a total of 20 children from families in crisis, one child per day, for a month.
The Month of Sharing campaign is being held for the first time this year. It started in 2015 at Samsung Electronics' Gumi plant and has since expanded to all business sites. Samsung Electronics is promoting the 'Nanum Kiosk' donation platform, which has become a platform for everyday giving, to spread a culture of personal donations within society.
Samsung Electronics employees will focus on supporting 20 children from families in crisis for a month, one child per day, through the 'Nanum Kiosk' located at business sites and the specially established 'Online Nanum Kiosk' during the campaign period. Employees donate 1,000 KRW each time by tagging their employee ID cards at the Nanum Kiosk at each business site. They can also use the online Nanum Kiosk available on the company messenger.

Samsung Electronics selected these beneficiaries in collaboration with Good Neighbors and Save the Children.
This activity by Samsung Electronics is an extension of the will of Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong. Last month, Chairman Lee met with employees actively engaged in social contribution activities at Samsung Electronics Smart City in Gumi and expressed his gratitude with handwritten words saying, "Our company’s donation champions, be happy."
At this meeting, Chairman Lee said, "I try to donate a lot anonymously here and there." He also expressed his hope, saying, "The group that consistently manages donations is the foreign workers’ association," and "I hope an environment can be created where both foreign workers and their children can live well."
Samsung Electronics encourages employee participation and is conducting special events such as the 'One Tagging a Day Challenge,' where employees tag at least once a day to support all 20 children over a month, and posting supportive comments for beneficiary children. Participating employees will be provided with a small amount of sharing-related goods.

원본보기 아이콘Currently, Samsung Electronics operates a total of 59 Nanum Kiosks, including 35 in Korea and 24 overseas. Starting from the Gumi plant, they were installed at the Suwon plant in 2016, Hwaseong plant in 2020, and Yongin, Pyeongtaek, Cheonan, and Onyang plants in 2021. Last year, they were expanded to the Seoul Research and Development (R&D) campus, Gwangju plant, as well as overseas sites in the United States, China, India, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The number of Samsung Electronics employees participating in donations through the Nanum Kiosk increased more than sevenfold from about 5,000 in 2015 to about 38,000 last year. Over eight years, Samsung Electronics employees have raised a total of 2.64 billion KRW through the Nanum Kiosk, which has been delivered to 580 children in need.
Samsung Electronics employees also participate in the 'Donation Pledge' program, where a fixed amount is regularly donated from their monthly salary. Next year, employees can select the company’s CSR program they want to donate to, enter the desired amount, and have it automatically deducted from their monthly salary. They are also engaged in 'Talent Donation' activities, sharing their knowledge and experience.
