The Ministry of Education announced the "Career Education Activation Plan (2023?2027)" containing these details on the 30th.

The Ministry of Education decided to support career education throughout the entire lifespan, from elementary school students to adults, aiming to provide customized career planning support for all citizens.

For elementary schools, career education programs will be diversified compared to before, and high-quality career experience programs will be offered after school by linking Neulbom School and Career Experience Support Centers.

For middle and high schools, the goal is to enhance the substance of career education. Since the new curriculum (2022 revised curriculum) includes career-linked education, career education research schools (4 middle schools and 2 high schools) will be operated to find excellent models, and training will be strengthened for general teachers as well, not only career and college counseling teachers, to build career education capabilities.

Additionally, career experience certification institutions will be discovered focusing on new industry fields, and education models for new industry sectors will also be developed.

Centered on "Entrepreneurship Experience Focus Schools" utilizing regional infrastructure, joint curricula among schools will be operated, and the career information network CareerNet will be advanced by 2025 to provide new job information and personalized career information.

For university students, the "University Career Exploration Credit System," where students plan and carry out various projects related to their careers instead of attending classes to earn credits, will be expanded. Support will also be provided to help students explore and design their careers while enrolled in university.

The Ministry of Education will also strengthen support for adults to establish or change careers. Through the National Career Education Center, career education goals necessary for adults, such as career management and advanced learning, will be presented, and a career development competency assessment tool will be developed and distributed through regional lifelong learning institutions.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho said, "Based on the foundation built so far, we will implement substantial policies so that anyone can receive the career education they need at each stage of life."
