Europe's No.1 Skincare Brand 'Clarins' Conducts Tree Planting Volunteer Activity in Dongdaemun-gu

Contributing to Carbon Neutral Green Growth and the Creation of Beautiful Walking Trails in Dongdaemun-gu

On April 29 at 10 a.m., a tree planting event by 'Clarins' took place along the Jungnangcheon Stream in Dongdaemun-gu, where 1,000 trees including crape myrtle, mountain azalea, and royal azalea were planted to preserve biodiversity and combat the climate crisis.

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) participated in the tree planting volunteer activity, a social contribution initiative by 'Europe's No.1 skincare brand Clarins,' supporting the creation of beautiful walking trails and carbon-neutral green growth in Dongdaemun-gu.

The event was attended by Clarins Korea employees, Clarins university student supporters called 'Clamy,' about 100 Dongdaemun-gu office volunteer staff, and Dongdaemun-gu public relations ambassador singer No Ji-hoon. They engaged in garden creation activities such as ▲tree planting ▲stake installation ▲watering trees around the Jungnangcheon Jangpyeonggyo Tulip Garden area, working hard to protect the environment and save the planet.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu who participated in the event, said, “For the safe future of our residents, we declared in February this year to move toward a ‘2050 Carbon Neutral Future City.’ We are grateful for Clarins Korea’s tree planting volunteer activity supporting and encouraging our district’s carbon reduction efforts and carbon-neutral green growth.” He added, “Going forward, the district will actively support companies to practice various social contribution activities with the local community to create a better society.”

Since 2011, 'Clarins' has fulfilled its corporate social responsibility for sustainable cities by planting more than 750,000 trees worldwide.
