Dong-A University Taekwondo Poomsae Team Wins Consecutive Men's Team Titles at the 22nd Minister of Gender Equality and Family National Taekwondo Competition

Students from the Taekwondo Poomsae Team at Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) won the men's team event for the second consecutive year at the "22nd National Taekwondo Competition for the Minister of Gender Equality and Family's Cup."

At the recent competition held at the Hongcheon Indoor Gymnasium in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province, Dong-A University secured first place in the men's team event (Gu Je-ho, Jeong Yoo-sung, Yoon Ha-neul) again this year, achieving back-to-back victories.

In the women's individual division 2, Nam Geun-hye won the gold medal, while in the women's individual division 1, Lee Da-yoon (2nd place) and Yoon Seo-jin (3rd place) placed.

The men's team champions Gu Je-ho, Jeong Yoo-sung, and Yoon Ha-neul said, "It was not easy to coordinate with a new team formation, but thanks to trusting and considering each other, we achieved good results," adding, "We are grateful to our professors, coaches, and directors who led us, and we will continue to work hard so as not to disgrace the careers built by our seniors."

Nam Geun-hye said, "Practicing based on the passionate guidance of our professors, coaches, and directors seems to have led to good results," and added, "I will train even harder to bring good results in upcoming competitions."

The Taekwondo Department at Dong-A University recently signed an MOU with the Busan Taekwondo Association to provide both theoretical and practical education for cultivating convergent and specialized professionals. In July, they plan to jointly host the "Dong-A University President's Cup Taekwondo Competition" with the association.
