This ordinance stipulates matters related to social and economic support for family care youth and cohabiting families residing in Nam-gu, and includes provisions to incorporate support plans for family care youth in the community social security plan established every four years.

With the passage of this ordinance, it is expected that support can be provided to family care youth who face difficulties bearing the burden of family support during the period of preparing for the future.

Councilor Park said, "I hope for a society where family care youth are not isolated from society, are respected, and can grow up healthy and harmoniously."

The ordinance is scheduled to be enacted through deliberation and resolution at the 4th plenary session of the 293rd Nam-gu Council extraordinary session to be held on May 4.

Meanwhile, according to the results of the "2022 Family Care Youth Survey" announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare on the 26th, the depression rate among family care youth was found to be seven times higher than that of general youth.
