Gwangju Seo-gu Conducts 'Integrity Education' for Public Officials

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) conducted an integrity education session for over 100 senior officials and new public servants on the 27th.


According to Seo-gu on the 28th, this education, held under the theme "Creating an Honest Han World Together," was promoted to spread a culture of integrity and establish a trustworthy public service for citizens.

The session invited Jeong Seonghwa, a specialist instructor in integrity education, to provide training focused on specific cases covering the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, the Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, as well as the increasing dangers of drunk driving.


Seo-gu also offered online education simultaneously, allowing employees who could not attend the on-site session to receive training through online platforms.


Mayor Kim Ikang of Seo-gu stated, "We will continue to promote anti-corruption and integrity policies beyond education to spread a culture of integrity and do our best to create a public service that citizens trust more through fair job performance."
