LH plans to actively incorporate the selected works and the diverse and innovative ideas submitted in the contest into the development of the LH smart home platform. Additionally, the rental housing smart home mobile app is scheduled to be completed by September and launched by the end of this year.

The LH smart home mobile app allows convenient control of devices such as lighting, heating, and gas within the household, as well as easy access to information closely related to daily life, including complex-related notices, management fee inquiries, energy usage monitoring, and health lifestyle information.

In particular, a solitary death prevention service is provided for single elderly households aged 65 and over. It analyzes daily energy usage such as water and gas within the household and supports safe living by sending emergency alerts to the smart home app and management office when abnormal signs occur, detected through movement sensing, front door entry detection, and mobile phone non-use detection.

Lee Tak-hoon, Head of LH Public Housing Business Headquarters, said, “We hope this contest will be a good opportunity to expand LH rental housing smart home services and foster public empathy.”
