원본보기 아이콘Kakao Games announced on the 28th that Lionheart Studio's game "Odin: Valhalla Rising" (hereafter "Odin") held a local showcase ahead of its release in Japan.
At the media showcase held on the 27th at Croque Prime Studio located in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, information was revealed including the start of pre-registration for the Japanese service version of Odin, a server and character name reservation event in mid-May, and the official launch in mid-June.
The event was attended by Kakao Games CEO Jo Gye-hyeon, Lionheart Studio Chairman Kim Jae-young, PD Lee Han-soon, AD Kim Beom, as well as local Japanese operation staff, who introduced the game and disclosed the future direction of the Japanese service and the release schedule.
They raised expectations for the release by announcing various localization efforts such as participation of popular Japanese voice actors and collaborations with well-known local IPs. At this showcase, the famous Japanese actor Odagiri Joe, known for his unique charm in various movies, dramas, and stage performances, was revealed as the TV commercial model for Odin.
About 80 local media representatives and popular Japanese influencers attending the event were given the opportunity to play "Odin" firsthand. The local media and officials who experienced Odin praised elements such as graphics, direction, story, and combat.
Kakao Games plans to gradually expand its 2023 "Beyond Korea" business vision, starting with the launch of Odin's Japanese service in June.
