The ‘Jinnam Scholarship Foundation’ was established in 1996 when Park Jeong-chae, CEO of Jinnam Development, donated 200 million won in scholarship funds under the philosophy of ‘returning corporate profits to society.’ Since then, an additional 200 million won was donated in 2020, bringing the total to 400 million won, which has been used to provide scholarships to students.
The scholarship distribution has continued for 26 years since the first scholarship was awarded in October 1997, and up to this year, a total of 1,477 students have received scholarships amounting to 709.6 million won.
Chairman Park Jeong-chae said, “Although the scholarship amount is modest, I hope it encourages students who study hard despite difficult circumstances to grow into talents who will contribute to the development of the region and the nation.” He added, “We will strive to provide more benefits to students who are the future leaders.”
