KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 28th that it will hire about 250 new employees in the first half of this year.
The recruitment sectors include Corporate Finance & Asset Management (UB), Investment Banking (IB), Global, Capital Markets, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), Shared Growth (children of persons with disabilities and multicultural families, North Korean defectors, basic livelihood security recipients, veterans), Professional Qualifications (lawyers and accountants), and Job Specialists (risk management, strategic planning, financial management, recruiting).
The UB sector will separately select candidates for corporate finance and asset management by region. The IB, Global, Capital Markets, and ICT sectors will conduct document screening, written or coding tests, and first-round interviews, followed by a 12-week recruitment-linked internship program. During the internship, mentoring, job training, and project execution will be conducted in relevant departments of each sector. After completing the internship, candidates will undergo evaluation and executive-level interviews, and outstanding performers will be hired as new employees.
The Professional Qualifications and Job Specialists sectors, targeting holders of professional certifications or those with relevant work experience in specific fields, offer the possibility of regular employment after a one-year fixed-term contract based on evaluation. The recruitment process for these sectors proceeds without a written test.
KB Kookmin Bank also conducts recruitment in the ESG Shared Growth sector, which started in 2021. The bank plans to hire persons with disabilities, children of multicultural families, North Korean defectors, basic livelihood security recipients, and veterans as well.
