Gas Safety Corporation and Special Gas Association Discuss Toxic Gas Safety Management

6th Toxic Gas Safety Technology Improvement Research Association

The Korea Gas Safety Corporation and the Korea Industrial Specialty Gas Association explored safety management measures for toxic gases.


From the 27th to the 28th, the two organizations held the "6th Toxic Gas Safety Technology Improvement Research Meeting" at the Gravel Hotel in Jeju, discussing directions for toxic gas safety management policies, analysis of gas accident cases, advanced safety technologies, and ways to improve safety management levels through sharing best practices.


The research meeting was attended by about 80 people from 20 companies, including safety officers from industrial and specialty gas handling workplaces and semiconductor industry workers.


The event included awarding three commendations from the president of the Korea Gas Safety Corporation to contributors who have worked hard for workplace safety management (one group award and two individual awards), as well as presentations on recent technological trends.


The group commendation for contributions to toxic gas accident prevention was awarded to MS Materials Co., Ltd., and individual commendations were given to Jaegu Lee, Director of Linde Korea Co., Ltd., and Yeonwook Choi, Manager of Airfirst Co., Ltd.


Following this, presentations were made on topics such as "Toxic Gas Safety Management Project Guide," "Directions for Hydrogen Trailer Facility Improvement," "New Government Hydrogen Economy Policy Directions and Strategies," "Gas Accident Statistical Analysis and Accident Cases," "Understanding Chemical Substance Control Act Tasks," "Progress in Advancing Toxic Gas Safety Information," and "Understanding Seismic Design of Gas Facilities."


Nooseon, Technical Director of the Gas Safety Corporation and organizer of the event, stated, "We will continue to carry out various safety support projects to enhance the autonomous safety management capabilities of the domestic toxic gas industry and prevent accidents."
