The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 28th at midnight that the number of new COVID-19 cases increased by 13,791, bringing the total to 31,142,861.
The number of new cases on this day decreased by 493 compared to the previous day (14,284). Compared to a week ago on the 21st (13,596), it increased by 195.
Recent COVID-19 trends show a slight increase due to the lifting of indoor mask mandates and the impact of large temperature differences. However, health authorities believe that a large-scale outbreak severe enough to restrict daily life is unlikely to occur.
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized is 144, which is 7 fewer than the previous day.
The number of new COVID-19 deaths is 11, bringing the total to 34,471 (fatality rate 0.11%).
