A man in his 50s, disgruntled after being forcibly evicted for not paying monthly rent, rammed a vehicle into four members of the landlord's family, causing injuries.
On the 28th, the Busan Gijang Police Station announced that they had apprehended Mr. An, who hit the family of four with his vehicle, and plan to request an arrest warrant on charges of attempted murder.
According to the police, Mr. An, who was forcibly evicted following an eviction lawsuit due to prolonged non-payment of rent, went to the villa he used to live in, located in Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, around 3:50 p.m. on the 27th and caused a disturbance.
When Mr. An tried to leave the scene by driving his vehicle, the landlord Mr. Seon, his wife, and their son and daughter-in-law blocked the front of the vehicle. Mr. An then rammed into the family members multiple times.
The police, who responded to the report, arrested Mr. An and plan to request an arrest warrant on charges of attempted murder.
The son and daughter-in-law of Mr. Seon, who were hit by the vehicle driven by Mr. An, are hospitalized with spinal injuries and fractures, while Mr. Seon and his wife sustained minor injuries. It is reported that none of them are in life-threatening condition.
