Large Mart Golden Holiday Food Event... "40% Discount on Hanwoo Beef"

Large supermarkets have launched various food events to celebrate the golden holiday.

According to the industry on the 29th, Emart is offering up to 40% discounts on all domestic brand Hanwoo beef items when paying with event cards until the 3rd of next month, targeting the golden holiday. About 60 tons of Hanwoo beef have been prepared for this event. This amount is enough to sell for about three weeks under normal circumstances. The most popular cuts among customers, sirloin and striploin, are sold at a 40% discount, while cuts for soup and bulgogi are sold at a 30% discount.

Whole family-sized cleaned sea eel (700g) is sold as a 1+1 deal for 49,800 won. Gochujang pork belly (700g) and marinated chicken jumulleok (800g) can be purchased with a 3,000 won discount when accumulating Shinsegae Points. Sushi-e kelp-aged salmon and flatfish sushi (12 pieces) and jocheong boneless fried chicken (100g) are offered at a 20% discount with Shinsegae Points accumulation. On the 29th, all sugar-selected watermelons and high-sugar watermelons are discounted by 3,000 won with Shinsegae Points accumulation, and sausage rice cake skewers are sold at a 20% discount.

Lotte Mart has prepared reasonably priced beef that is good for grilling. Representative products such as Marble Nine Hanwoo popular grilled cuts and Marble Nine Hanwoo low-fat chap and seolgig steaks are offered at a 40% discount to L.POINT members, and all Australian clean Wagyu products are sold at a 30% discount. Grade 1 Hanwoo beef cuts for soup and bulgogi (100g) are available for 3,290 won.

Fresh seafood is also offered in various ways. Boiled lobster, perfect for home parties, is sold for 13,500 won, and tuna and swordfish family assorted sashimi is sold for 24,900 won. Norwegian mackerel jerky is offered at 5,990 won, and live webfoot octopus and cleaned small octopus (100g) are available for 1,990 won and 2,490 won, respectively.

A representative from the large supermarket said, "We have prepared a large-scale event that will attract both customers going out and those staying home, as the sunny spring weather coincides with the golden holiday. We will continue to plan various events to minimize the burden of grocery prices felt by customers."
