Ssangyong Information & Communications Selected as 5th Lottery Trustee... New Business Green Light

ITCEN (CEO Park Jung-jae) subsidiary Ssangyong Information & Communications (CEO Shin Jang-ho) announced on the 28th that it will strengthen its entertainment development capabilities as the Donghaeng Lottery consortium was selected as the lottery consignment operator.

The Donghaeng Lottery consortium, in which Ssangyong Information & Communications participates as a system operator, is scheduled to operate and manage the lottery business from next year until 2028. The Donghaeng Lottery consortium consists of a total of 12 companies, including six system operators such as Ssangyong Information & Communications and four business operators such as Jeju Semiconductor.

Ssangyong Information & Communications is a strong player in the traditional large-scale system operation field. It has abundant experience and know-how in building and operating ultra-large next-generation systems such as Intelligent NICE, next-generation Edufine, and public cloud transition projects. Recently, it also provides consulting and SaaS necessary for infrastructure construction and operation to companies wishing to transition from existing on-premises environments (IT infrastructure such as servers, storage, databases built in-house) to the cloud. Based on this rich reference and technical capability, it plans to provide solutions suitable for the lottery system.

A representative of Ssangyong Information & Communications said, "Through synergy with group affiliates such as ITCEN and Comtec System, we are building a track record in the public and corporate cloud transition markets and driving group growth," adding, "With the selection as the lottery consignment operator, we plan to focus on expanding the market by strengthening our capabilities in the lottery and entertainment businesses."
