The day before, LabGenomics CEOs Kim Jeong-ju and Lee Jong-hoon held a meeting with leaders of each department to build a consensus on the importance of ESG management. At this event, they conducted a pledge ceremony to practice ethical regulations aimed at establishing a sound ethical perspective as members of LabGenomics, gaining trust from society, and fostering growth together between the company and its members.

At the same time, LabGenomics is making various efforts to expand ESG management with the goal of internalizing ESG practices. Since February this year, LabGenomics has established management decision-making bodies to implement ESG management, including the Investment Review Committee, Development Review Committee under the board of directors, and an independent Ethics Committee centered on full-time auditors.

This month, the company established an in-house legal team by hiring an in-house lawyer, regularized compliance training, revised the code of ethics, and expanded transparency by operating an ethics counseling center accessible to all employees, thereby broadening its steps toward full-fledged ESG management.

Additionally, LabGenomics has built a management system separating ownership and management by appointing professional managers with extensive experience in the same industry and specialized fields as CEOs. The newly formed board of directors ensured independence by appointing three outside directors who exceed legal requirements, establishing a sound and transparent decision-making system.

A LabGenomics official stated, “Since the previous vision and mission declaration ceremony, we have established management policies based on ethical management and advanced management, recognizing and pursuing diversity among members, and fostering a culture of co-growth between the company and its members based on active and horizontal communication. As part of this, we conducted the ethical regulation practice pledge ceremony and will embark on full-scale ESG management.”
