On the same day, Speaker McCarthy shared a video on his Twitter welcoming President Yoon and First Lady Kim Keon-hee at the Capitol, making the remark. In the 30-second video, President Yoon shakes hands with Speaker McCarthy outside the Speaker's office and greets, "Nice to meet you. Thank you." Speaker McCarthy also responds, "Thank you for visiting." During the subsequent conversation, Speaker McCarthy repeatedly expressed gratitude to President Yoon, saying, "Thank you for accepting the invitation to deliver the joint address to the House and Senate. It is an honor to have you here today."


Through his tweet, Speaker McCarthy emphasized, "It is an honor to invite President Yoon to Congress," and added, "Our two countries must always stand together."
