Public job recruitment announcement system and operation of integrated job information platform to enhance convenience for job seekers

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will implement the ‘Standard Guidelines for Public Sector Job Recruitment’ starting May 1.

The guidelines were prepared to strengthen fairness and transparency throughout the public job recruitment process, fulfill residents’ right to know, and resolve distrust in the recruitment process. They apply to fixed-term and other workers subject to the Labor Standards Act.

Specifically, the district has ▲defined the recruitment procedure in five stages and made it mandatory to complete self-assessment forms at each stage from the planning process of recruitment. Also, ▲common application of selection criteria such as length of residence, job-related certifications, and similar experience to ensure objectivity of indicators ▲sending confirmation texts upon application receipt and guidance texts during the selection process to applicants to enhance procedural transparency.

Additionally, recruitment announcements must include documents screening and interview screening selection criteria tables to realize fair hiring.

Furthermore, as demand for public jobs increases due to employment difficulties, the district will implement the ‘Public Job Recruitment Announcement System’ every January. This system supports planned job searching by pre-disclosing the number of recruits, timing, and responsible departments for each public job project on the website. This year, the information will be disclosed on April 28.

Along with this, to improve convenience for job seekers, an ‘Integrated Job Information Platform’ will be operated starting November. The existing application methods, which were limited to in-person visits and postal submissions, will be improved to allow online applications as well.

District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho stated, “Through the implementation of these guidelines, we will realize fair and transparent public job recruitment,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure employment stability for residents and create quality jobs.”
