Ministry of Science and ICT Launches Field-Centered 'National Policy Task Continuous Meeting Season 2'

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 27th that it held a comprehensive discussion meeting for the 'Digital National Agenda Continuous On-site Dialogue' at Jiranjigyo Security, a cybersecurity company located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Since June last year, the Ministry of Science and ICT has been holding on-site dialogue meetings to build policy consensus through discussions with field experts and to successfully promote digital national agendas by combining the capabilities of the public and private sectors. Through a total of 20 continuous on-site dialogue meetings, the ministry collected opinions from the private sector on major digital issues and reflected them in key policies such as Korea's digital strategy, nurturing one million digital talents, and strengthening competitiveness in super-large AI.

At the comprehensive discussion meeting, the main discussions and policy achievements of the on-site dialogue meetings were shared. Additionally, ways to improve the dialogues in a more progressive direction were discussed.

Based on this comprehensive discussion meeting, the Ministry of Science and ICT plans to implement ‘National Agenda Continuous On-site Dialogue Season 2’ to strengthen communication with the field and establish a private sector-led digital innovation culture. The new continuous on-site dialogue meetings will develop into discussion-centered meetings. The ministry plans to enhance on-site engagement by directly visiting professional organizations and associations to expand public-private communication centered on the field and to share and spread digital achievements.

Park Yoon-kyu, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT, stated, “I hope that this new style of dialogue meetings will serve as a foundation to spread a digital innovation culture led by the private sector and supported by the government.”
