Two live bullets were found at the entrance of a daily necessities store in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
The Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 27th that they are tracking a man who dropped two rifle bullets in Yeonhui-dong.
According to the police, a citizen reported on the 25th at around 8 p.m. that two live bullets were found at the entrance of a daily necessities store in Yeonhui-dong. The police and military authorities collected the two bullets and began investigating through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and other means. It was determined that the bullets fell from the wallet of a man who was making a payment at the store.
The bullets are presumed to be used in firearms employed by the United States Forces Korea. There are no indications of anti-government (counterintelligence) suspicion.
The police are tracking the man based on CCTV footage and witness statements.
