On the 27th, Gojunho and An Myunggyu, members of the People Power Party from Paju in the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, requested a special audit from Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon regarding the relocation of the ex-convict rehabilitation facility (Geumseong-ui Jip) to Wollong-myeon, Paju.

In the special audit request, Assemblyman Go urged Gyeonggi Province to conduct a special audit on ▲ the dissemination of false information at an official event (press conference) causing residents' anxiety ▲ abuse of power aimed at closing a facility lawfully relocated to Paju through proper administrative procedures ▲ negligence in preemptive efforts regarding the relocation of a facility that residents avoid ▲ lack of efforts to resolve conflicts that have arisen.

Assemblyman Go stated the reason for the audit request, saying, "When news of the relocation of the ex-convict rehabilitation facility Geumseong-ui Jip, a facility that residents avoid, spread throughout the local community, a press conference was held describing it as a facility housing ex-convicts who committed serious crimes such as sexual offenses and domestic homicide," adding, "The use of provocative expressions without verified facts caused residents' anxiety and led to the breakdown of the local community."

Furthermore, he pointed out, "They are attempting to close the facility, which was established through lawful procedures, by all administrative measures such as urban planning changes, without proposing any alternatives," and criticized, "They have been negligent not only in preemptive responses to a facility where conflicts were fully predictable but also in efforts to improve conflicts that occurred after the relocation."
