KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (hereinafter ‘KLM’) announced that on the morning of the 27th, it held an event in Jeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the Netherlands' largest national holiday, ‘King's Day,’ by giving away 1,000 tulips.
King's Day is the day when a festival is held in the Netherlands to celebrate the birthday of the king. As a Dutch national airline, KLM organized this event to share this significance with Korean customers. Simon Kraijthoof, KLM Sales Director for Korea, Japan, and New Caledonia, and Joana Donnerbart, the Dutch Ambassador to Korea, participated together. The Dutch representative character Miffy also took part, distributing 1,000 tulips, the national flower of the Netherlands, to citizens.

The company is also running a discount code promotion for airline tickets. When booking a Premium Comfort Class ticket on the official website, entering the discount code ‘KORKLMPC23’ will provide a 100,000 KRW discount.
A KLM Royal Dutch Airlines official said, “As the Netherlands' representative airline celebrating its 104th anniversary this year, we planned this event so that Korean customers can experience Dutch culture right in the heart of the city. With the endemic phase and the revival of overseas travel, we hope you plan a trip to the Netherlands along with KLM’s newly enhanced in-flight services.”
