The county confirmed the hiring of the specialist last March and even held a meeting with County Governor Lee Seunghwa.

However, it is reported that the specialist decided to forgo the position after consulting with acquaintances and others around them.

Previously, the county announced the recruitment of an internal medicine specialist starting from November last year, offering an annual salary of 360 million KRW.

There were no applicants in the 1st and 2nd announcements, and although three people applied in the 3rd announcement, none were qualified, so no one was hired.

A county official said, "We do not know the detailed circumstances, but it seems the specialist decided to give up the position after discussing with people around them," adding, "We will issue a 5th recruitment announcement and hire a new specialist."

Upon learning this, residents expressed, "We do not know when or if a specialist will come," and collectively hoped, "We look forward to a doctor like an angel sent from heaven arriving soon."
