Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Rated 'Excellent' in Public Data Provision and Management Evaluation

Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced on the 27th that it received an Excellent (highest) rating in the ‘2022 Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The evaluation has been conducted since 2018 to understand the overall status of public data provision and operation and to enhance public satisfaction with public data policies.

This year’s evaluation included 570 public institutions, consisting of 45 central administrative agencies, 243 local governments, and 282 public institutions.

The evaluation assigned scores across five areas: management system, openness, utilization, quality, and others (deductions), and then awarded ratings such as Excellent, Average, and Poor based on the overall score.

In the evaluation, Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation achieved an Excellent rating with a high overall score, including a perfect score in the quality category.

Previously, the corporation was designated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety last year as a ‘Specialized Institution for Opening Merchant Data of Local Love Gift Certificates,’ opening over 500 million public data records related to the operation, payment, and merchant information of Local Love Gift Certificates to the public.

Notably, this year, the ‘Paper-type Local Love Gift Certificate Sales and Exchange Branch Information Opening Project’ was finally selected as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘2023 Public Data Utilization Activation Support Project,’ and plans to open data on paper-type Local Love Gift Certificate sales branch stock status, sales policy status, sales branch status, and exchange branch status.
