FKCCI: "Korea-US Summit Achieves Deepened Cooperation in Advanced Industries"

The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) congratulated the successful conclusion of the summit between the two heads of state marking the 70th anniversary of the Korea-US alliance, stating, "This summit has created a turning point for the bilateral relationship, which has been a blood alliance for 70 years, to leap forward into an even greater alliance."

In its commentary on the Korea-US summit on the 27th, the FKI said, "We highly evaluate the significant achievement of the two countries deepening cooperation in core technologies and advanced industries, and agreeing to address trade-related concerns through various channels." Additionally, it conveyed, "We share a common direction in strengthening economic security through cooperation in foreign exchange markets and building supply chain ecosystems."


The summit was also assessed as an opportunity for Korea to emerge as a genuine global pivotal state. It added, "We look forward to Korea demonstrating leadership in the international community by upholding freedom, democracy, and market economy."


The FKI added, "Based on the private-sector cooperation network with the US built over the past 30 years, we will do our utmost to support the implementation of the agreements from the Korea-US summit at the economic sector level."
