At an intersection in downtown Gwangju, a compact car crashed into a roadside tree and overturned, injuring two people.

According to the Gwangju Seobu Police Station on the 27th, around noon, a compact car crashed into a roadside tree and overturned at the intersection in front of Gwangju City Hall in Chipyeong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.

The driver, A (female in her 60s), sustained rib injuries, and the passenger B (in their 80s) in the back seat was taken to the hospital after their face was cut by broken glass.

A told the police that "the vehicle suddenly lost speed control and could not brake."

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on footage from the vehicle's black box.
