President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration has declined compared to two weeks ago. Despite the controversy over the money envelope at the party convention, the Democratic Party of Korea showed an upward trend in support.
According to a public opinion poll released on the 27th by Embrain Public, K-Stat Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research (NBS, conducted via telephone interviews with 1,006 men and women aged 18 and over from the 24th to the 26th, conducted biweekly every two weeks), President Yoon's approval rating for his administration dropped by 2 percentage points from two weeks ago to 32%. The negative evaluation of his administration remained the same at 57% as two weeks ago.
Among those who positively evaluated President Yoon's governance (318 respondents), the biggest reason cited was "decisiveness" (39%). Conversely, among those who gave a negative evaluation (575 respondents), the main reason was "being autocratic and one-sided" (36%).
Regarding President Yoon Suk-yeol's interview suggesting weapons support for Ukraine, 56% of the public opinion considered it problematic, while 32% thought there was no problem.
In terms of party support, the People Power Party's approval rating fell by 2 percentage points to 31%, while the Democratic Party rose by 2 percentage points to 30%. In the previous survey, the gap between the two parties was 5 percentage points, but this time the gap narrowed to 1 percentage point.
Regarding party favorability, the Democratic Party recorded 36%, the People Power Party 32%, and the Justice Party 23%.
