[Concall] Samsung Electronics "Efforts to Minimize Semiconductor Act Risks"

On the 27th, Samsung Electronics stated during the 2023 Q1 conference call, "The CHIPS Act was announced last August with the signing by the U.S. President, followed by detailed implementation notices in February and guardrail regulations last month, including various mandatory provisions." They added, "Regarding incentives and related support, since the U.S. government has said it will gather industry opinions and finalize details through negotiations with individual companies, our company will also participate accordingly."

They continued, "We are reviewing various possibilities and scenarios," and added, "We will continue efforts to minimize potential geopolitical risks."
