The People Power Party launched the Party Affairs Audit Committee on the 27th.
Senior Spokesperson Yoo Sang-beom met with reporters after the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning and said, "In a closed meeting, six members of the Party Affairs Audit Committee were approved and appointed," adding, "With the chairman and members of the Party Affairs Audit Committee approved, the committee is officially launched." Spokesperson Yoo explained, "The list of members was decided not to be disclosed to ensure fairness and objectivity in performing duties."
Earlier, the People Power Party appointed former 19th National Assembly member Shin Eui-jin as the chairman of the Party Affairs Audit Committee on the 13th. Chairman Shin also served as a nomination management committee member for the People Power Party in the April 7, 2021 by-elections.

Former Future United Party lawmaker Kim (Goyang City Party Branch Chairman) is under police investigation for allegations of illegal political fund acceptance.
According to the People Power Party's constitution and regulations, the Party Affairs Audit Committee consists of up to nine members appointed by the party leader with the approval of the Supreme Council, and at least two-thirds of the members, including the chairman, must be non-party personnel.
The People Power Party is reportedly planning a large-scale party affairs audit in the first half of this year to inspect the management status of current lawmakers and nationwide party branch chairpersons.
