Emro is strengthening its service by adding new features to ‘Bible,’ an online community service for purchasing managers.
‘Bible’ is a community platform specialized in the purchasing field, launched by Emro in November last year. It is characterized by providing various information for corporate purchasing managers in one place, including information on 3 million domestic vendors (partners), purchasing job training content, and expert columns.
Recently, Emro introduced a new service on Bible that offers free educational videos and certificate issuance for the renewal of the international purchasing certification (CPSM). CPSM is an internationally recognized purchasing and supply management professional certification administered by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) in the United States. As the importance of supply chain management within companies has increased recently, the demand for obtaining this certification among purchasing managers is rapidly growing.
However, after obtaining the certification, renewal is required every three years through completing a total of 60 hours of related education, which meant purchasing managers had to go through the cumbersome process of finding and attending paid or free lectures both online and offline. To alleviate these difficulties, Emro collaborated with the Korea Purchasing Specialists Association (ISM Korea) to enable users to watch purchasing job training videos and receive certificates for CPSM renewal all at once on Bible.
Currently, Bible offers more than 50 purchasing job training videos featuring Professor Choi Jung-wook from Kookmin University, a domestic authority in the purchasing field. Anyone who wishes to take the courses can watch the videos after signing up as a member, and can receive educational certificates ranging from a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 9 hours per month to use for CPSM renewal applications. Both video viewing and certificate issuance are free of charge. Additional lecture content by purchasing expert Hong Seong-ho, who is currently a customs broker, is scheduled to be added by the second half of this year, which is expected to expand the available education hours.
In addition, Emro plans to provide various content and discount benefits for purchasing managers through partnerships with related educational institutions and companies. Furthermore, through continuous updates, new features and services such as purchasing guidebooks, exchange rate and raw material market information, and an online purchasing encyclopedia will be continuously added.
