The Gyeongbuk Office of Education will open the online sharing market ‘Ddaalgi Market’ on May 1.
Ddaalgi Market means ‘a warm and thrifty sharing market that feels good,’ and it is an online market where educators in the Gyeongbuk area can exchange materials and items needed for teaching, learning, and administrative tasks.
Since the materials or items used by educators are generally similar, they have the characteristic of being shareable. Items that one keeps beyond their needs or that have become useless can be used by others, and conversely, it is a convenient online space where one can request materials or items they need from others.
The market is mainly composed of ‘Giving,’ ‘Requesting,’ and ‘Ddaalgi Talk,’ with submenus for ‘Items’ and ‘Materials.’
The ‘Giving’ menu allows users to share items or materials they want to give away, while the ‘Requesting’ menu functions to request items or materials needed. People who see the posted messages and need the items or materials or can offer help respond through comments, facilitating mutual exchange and assistance.
In particular, the ‘Requesting/Materials’ board is a space where teachers can request plans, administrative, and teaching materials that can be used immediately, and other teachers share suitable materials in real time, creating a virtuous cycle of collective intelligence among all teachers in Gyeongbuk.
‘Ddaalgi Talk’ is a bulletin board for requesting consultations and advice from each other or announcing various communities, providing a space to share thoughts and experiences about various school-related tasks.
While building this Ddaalgi Market, the Policy Innovation and Budget Information Division and the Gyeongbuk Office of Education Research Institute were able to implement rapid services at school sites through close communication and collaboration, and they plan to review the construction of a dedicated site after feedback.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education aims for digital transformation of school work and has implemented Onmusil.net, online submission of personal information consent forms, an online reservation system for parent consultations, a paperless face-to-face training one-stop platform, and the AI chat window ‘Onshil-i’ this year, receiving enthusiastic responses and high satisfaction from the field. The sixth phase of digital transformation of school work, ‘Ddaalgi Market,’ is attracting attention as the first service of its kind in the education sector, expected to bring new changes and achievements to the educational field.
Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, “If Ddaalgi Market becomes active, it is expected to not only save resources and reduce carbon emissions but also alleviate educators’ workloads and foster a school culture of sharing and cooperation.”
