Namhyeon County in Gyeongnam is striving to become a central tourist city on the southern coast visited by 10 million tourists. To achieve this, it has designated 2023 as the Year of Tourism Image Innovation and is actively promoting a tourism image innovation campaign.
Centered around the slogan "Namhaerang Mannamhae," the county plans to intensively improve its tourism infrastructure by actively pursuing 40 related projects, continuing the momentum from the 2022 Year of Visiting Namhae County.
The target projects for the Year of Tourism Image Innovation are built around five key themes: "Emotional, Clean, Stylish, Friendly, and Convenient." Specifically, these include producing a representative tourism promotional video for Namhae County, operating a visiting The Friendly Manager team, developing official souvenirs, establishing a one-stop tourism platform app, and developing Namhae County local food.
Some projects, such as senior job programs and coastal environmental cleanup, are carried out annually, but with the Year of Tourism Image Innovation, they will be conducted in a more distinctive and valuable manner.
Namhyeon County plans to check the progress of related projects to create synergy effects and actively promote the "Namhaerang Mannamhae" logo to spark a wave of tourism image innovation.
County Governor Jang Chung-nam said, "The Year of Tourism Image Innovation is not something grand or extravagant; it is successful when each and every person is friendly and keeps their surroundings clean." He added, "We will work sincerely with all residents to make Namhae County a place where visitors always want to return."
