LG Uplus announced on the 27th that it has donated 227 million KRW in cash and emergency relief supplies to the Korean Red Cross to support the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
The donation was raised through a fundraising campaign freely participated in by employees and the amount for emergency relief supplies. From February 14 to March 3, after the earthquake occurred, over 850 LG Uplus employees joined the fundraising, and the company matched the amount raised by the employees.

LG Uplus also delivered the value of 10,000 blankets urgently provided to the victims in Turkey and Syria in February to the Korean Red Cross. The donation from LG Uplus will be used to support the victims and recovery efforts in Turkey and Syria affected by the large-scale earthquake.
At the donation ceremony held at the Seoul office of the Korean Red Cross, Park Hyung-il, Head of Public Relations and External Cooperation Center at LG Uplus, said, “We participated in supporting the people of Turkey and Syria who suffered great damage from the large-scale earthquake to fulfill our corporate social responsibility,” and added, “LG Uplus will continue various support activities to spread the company’s positive influence.”
Meanwhile, since the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, LG Uplus has been providing free international call charges to Korean residents living locally and Turkish and Syrian nationals staying in Korea to communicate freely, and is offering free roaming services for volunteers conducting relief activities in Turkey.
