The three major indices of the U.S. New York Stock Exchange closed mixed on the 26th (local time), digesting earnings reports from major companies amid the crash of First Republic Bank.
On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.68% from the previous session. The large-cap-focused S&P 500 index recorded a decline of 0.39%. In contrast, the tech-heavy Nasdaq index closed up 0.47%.
