President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is on a state visit to the United States, kissed the cheek of a welcoming flower boy, an action that Jang Kyung-tae, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed "is considered sexual abuse in the U.S." In response, the People Power Party criticized, saying, "Is that all you can think about?" and "Truly a sexually obsessed party."
On the morning of the 26th at a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly, Councilor Jang stated, "Upon President Yoon's arrival in the U.S., he kissed the cheek of a flower boy during the welcoming ceremony," and pointed out, "In the U.S., kissing a child on the lips or other parts of the body without the child's consent is regarded as an act of sexual abuse." He added, "Such acts are considered serious crimes and can be confirmed under various state laws," and warned, "They can lead to severe legal consequences, and there are hotlines available for reporting such incidents."

Jang Ye-chan, the youth Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, wrote on Facebook that day, "Councilor Jang, is your mind filled only with thoughts of pornography or sexual abuse?" He continued, "Are you saying that President Yoon kissing the cheek of a flower boy in the U.S. is sexual abuse?" and "Then, in the photo below, is President Bush kissing the flower boy also committing sexual abuse?" In the photo released by Councilor Jang, former President Bush was kissing the cheek of a flower boy.
Councilor Jang said, "This kind of low-level slander being officially voiced at the Supreme Council of the main opposition party is the level of the Democratic Party," and added, "If you have any conscience, resign from your position as a member of the National Assembly immediately." He also sarcastically remarked, "Does the Democratic Party not discipline for abusive language? Compared to the curse words directed at the brother-in-law by leader Lee Jae-myung, this kind of abusive language is nothing, so are you overlooking it?"
Supreme Council member Tae Young-ho of the People Power Party also criticized on Facebook, saying, "Councilor Jang targeted President Yoon’s goodwill during his overseas trip by mentioning 'sexual abuse,'" calling it "truly dirty and despicable." He added, "The Democratic Party is filled only with vulgarity in their minds," and said, "A truly sacred wave, a sacred party, including Ahn Hee-jung, Oh Keo-don, Park Won-soon, and Jang Kyung-tae."
