BNK Gyeongnam Bank is strengthening support for tenants by establishing a dedicated counter for victims of jeonse fraud.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 26th that it is operating a 'Dedicated Consultation Counter for Jeonse Fraud Victims.'
The dedicated consultation counter for jeonse fraud victims has been set up at the household loan counters of all BNK Gyeongnam Bank branches.
It provides guidance on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Jeonse Fraud Victim Reception Center, as well as legal and financial support information.
Choi Geum-ryeol, head of the Retail Finance Department, said, "It is very unfortunate that victims of jeonse fraud have occurred. BNK Gyeongnam Bank quickly established a dedicated counter to ensure housing stability and relief for victims of jeonse fraud. We hope that the dedicated consultation counter for jeonse fraud victims will be of great help to customers who have suffered from jeonse fraud."
BNK Gyeongnam Bank is reviewing support for appropriate financial products tailored to the crisis situations by categorizing all victims in detail, including customers who lost their residence due to completed auctions and those undergoing auctions.
In order for victims of jeonse fraud to receive support from financial institutions, they must obtain a certificate confirming the jeonse fraud damage by reporting the fraud to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Jeonse Fraud Victim Center.
