Regarding Min Hyung-bae's Reinstatement... Kim Byung-min Says "Song Young-gil Likely to Rejoin Soon"

Regarding the return of independent lawmaker Min Hyung-bae, who left the Democratic Party during the legislative process of 'Geomsu Wanbak (Complete Removal of Prosecutorial Investigation Authority),' on the 26th, Kim Byung-min, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, criticized, saying, "Former leader Song Young-gil will also say he will return."

On the 26th, Supreme Council member Kim said on his social media (SNS), "Min Hyung-bae, who left the party under false pretenses, is returning? If this continues, we will soon hear news that former leader Song, who left as if it was a major decision, will also return," expressing his criticism.

Former leader Song was a key figure in the 'money envelope' allegations during the 2021 Democratic Party convention and recently announced his intention to take responsibility and leave the party. However, he drew a line regarding retirement from politics, leaving open the possibility of a comeback. Min's return to the party after leaving during the 'Geomsu Wanbak' process is interpreted as no different from former leader Song's potential return.

The Democratic Party approved Min's return at the Supreme Council meeting that day. Park Hong-geun, the Democratic Party floor leader, explained the reason, saying, "Min Hyung-bae inevitably participated in the (Geomsu Wanbak) legislation with a principled decision to leave the party based on his conviction."
