Busan City will hold the final round of the ‘Busan Dance Festival,’ which filled the Seomyeon streets throughout April, on the 29th at 5 PM at Seomyeon Nori Maru.

The ‘Busan Dance Festival’ is an event newly planned this year by Busan City to create a representative street for youth culture development by incorporating ‘street dance,’ which has recently emerged as a leading youth cultural content. The festival was successfully held throughout the Seomyeon area, and attention is now focused on the final round that will conclude the event.


First, during the weekends of the first and second weeks of April, the atmosphere of the event was heightened by determining winners in four categories?1-on-1 battles (individual), b-boying, freestyle, hip-hop, and waacking?held across the youthful streets of Seomyeon.


On April 15, the Dance Championship finals were held at the Seomyeon eSports Stadium, where 25 teams (22 final participants) who passed the online preliminaries competed fiercely, confirming the 15 teams advancing to the final round.


At the final event on April 29 at Seomyeon Nori Maru, the 15 teams that advanced through intense preliminary and semifinal competitions will compete for the championship title in the last round.


Just Jerk (Young Jae, J-Ho, S-One), winners and participants of Mnet’s Street Man Fighter, and Ted (leader of Eottae) will attend as judges, performing congratulatory shows and selecting the best street dancers.


The total prize money for this competition amounts to 30 million KRW (▲Dance Championship: 1st place 10 million KRW, 2nd place 5 million KRW, 3rd place 3 million KRW ▲1-on-1 Battle: 1st place in each of the 4 dance categories 3 million KRW).


After the final event, a networking event and street dance camp will be held at Seomyeon Sangsang Madang until April 30, where confirmed camp participants, winners, and participants of the event will gather. Details can be found on the Busan Dance Festival website.

The city plans to produce and distribute music videos of the final winners and is reviewing follow-up support measures to provide opportunities such as stages where the winners can continue to perform.
