The Korea Dog Meat Association filed a complaint against Kim at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on the 25th, accusing her of defamation and impersonating a public official.

The association claimed, "(Kim) made statements implying that dog breeding farms abuse dogs and raise them in extremely unsanitary conditions, thereby damaging the reputation of dog breeding farms."

Additionally, the association argued that Kim's remark, "I will strive to end dog meat consumption within the government's term. Ending dog meat consumption is my duty," constituted an act of impersonating a public official.

On the same day, the association held a press conference in front of the Seoul Yongsan Presidential Office, urging Kim to apologize and promise to prevent recurrence.
