Daesung Energy donated 230 million KRW over two years and was selected as a ‘Sharing Prestigious Company’ by the Community Chest of Korea, Daegu Chapter. On the 25th, a ceremony was held at the headquarters in Namsan-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu, together with the Daegu Community Chest of Korea.
The ‘Sharing Prestigious Company’ is an honorable title given by the Daegu Community Chest of Korea to corporate major donors. It is a high-value donation program that companies can participate in if they donate more than 100 million KRW through the Community Chest or pledge to donate within three years.

Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, said, “Despite the difficult economic conditions, our efforts to maintain a warm heart toward marginalized neighbors seem to have been well evaluated, leading to our selection as a Sharing Prestigious Company. As a local company that has received much love from citizens, we will continue to be a company that stands with the local community during difficult times.”
In addition to the Community Chest of Korea, Daesung Energy consistently participates every year in activities such as sharing lunch boxes and samgyetang, volunteering to help vulnerable people endure the summer heat in small rooms, winter briquette sharing, kimchi-making support and volunteer activities, and supporting local welfare institutions. The company also leads the creation of a warm local community by participating in various sharing activities for marginalized groups and its representative social contribution program, the ‘Matching Grant Sponsorship Project.’
