Following this, Minister Won received a report on the Jeonse damage and the center’s operational status in Gangseo-gu, and discussed cooperation measures while listening to opinions from local governments and other field entities regarding the government's victim support plans.
At this meeting, Minister Won stated, "We plan to propose detailed implementation plans by each ministry and related special legislation for Jeonse fraud victim support as early as this week," adding, "We will do our best to provide help to the victims as soon as possible through prompt legislation and policy implementation in response."
Finally, Minister Won emphasized, "In particular, Gangseo-gu, where large-scale Jeonse fraud damage has occurred in the densely populated villa area of Hwagok-dong, is the area with the highest number of victim consultations in Seoul. To provide effective support to the victims, the enactment of special legislation must be supported by active cooperation and efforts from local governments such as Gangseo-gu."
