The Traffic Safety Division of Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced on the 25th that they painted traffic safety murals in Yangnim-dong Penguin Village, a local landmark.
The police promoted this project by collaborating with related organizations and receiving talent donations from university students to reduce traffic accident casualties.
The murals were painted with the theme of pedestrian and driver safety, featuring the village's symbolic penguin character conveying messages about safe walking methods, prohibition of drunk driving, and wearing helmets on motorcycles.
A police official stated, "We will strive to make this a place for traffic safety education as well as promoting traffic safety by utilizing visitors who take photos at the photo zone and share information about traffic safety with others on social media."
