On the 25th, students from the Department of Environmental Landscape Design at Gyeongnam Information University received the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Encouragement Award at the 2023 Busan Urban Agriculture Expo's 'National Garden Design Contest' hosted by Busan City.

Students Cha Mi-young, Lee Young-im, Son Yoo-jin, and Lee Sung-soon from the Department of Environmental Landscape Design submitted a work titled "A Garden That Eats Memories" and won the Grand Prize. The university noted that it was especially meaningful as these students are adult learners in their 40s to 60s.

Cha Mi-young, who won the Grand Prize, said, "Although I started somewhat late as an adult learner, designing the space with my own hands and the process of planting and creating it was a very enjoyable and happy time," adding, "I am grateful to the professors who guided us adult learners, who require more attention due to our late start."
