New COVID-19 Cases at 14,817... Approximately 350 Fewer Than Last Week (Update)

The Central Disease Control Headquarters reported that as of midnight on the 25th, there were 14,817 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 31,098,403.

The number of new cases increased by 9,790 from the previous day (5,027), which had decreased due to reduced testing over the weekend.

However, compared to a week ago on the 18th (15,164 cases), there was a decrease of 347 cases.

The number of new cases compared to a week ago had been increasing from the 14th until the previous day but shifted to a decrease after 12 days.

Among the new confirmed cases, 23 were imported from overseas.

The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized was 142, a decrease of 4 from the previous day.

There were 7 new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 34,434 (fatality rate 0.11%).
